New Advanced Multi-Board software from
Sharp Europe can link up to three 80” BIG
PAD Pros, to create one huge interactive flat
panel display. The Advanced Multi-Board set-
up, with three BIG PADs side-by-side, creates
a surface that is 5.4m wide. Six people can
work on the display at the same time.
Easy to configure, Advanced Multi-Board has
been designed to deliver the same experience
as using a single BIG PAD Pro. This includes
features like Pen Software, which lets users write
with a special pen as easily as writing on paper
and P-CAP touch, a highly responsive touch
technology, similar to that used in smartphones.
Christopher Parker, Senior Product Manager,
Visual Solutions, Sharp Europe, said: “When
it comes to brainstorming, collaborating and
sharing ideas, bigger is always better. We see the
Advanced Multi-Board set-up being really useful in
boardrooms, control rooms and university lecture
halls, where large amounts of data need to be
worked on and shared.”

Canon supports local
environment
Employees at Canon UK’s headquarters
in Reigate, participated in the big
butterfly count at the end of July. The
event which is organised by the Butterfly
Conservation, is a nationwide survey
aimed at helping assess the health of the
environment in the UK. It was launched in
2010 and has rapidly become the world's
biggest survey of butterflies.
Surrie Everett-Pascoe, Canon UK’s
Sustainability and Management Systems
Manager, said that the company was thrilled to
support the Butterfly Conservation this year. “We
spotted over seven species, counting over 60
butterflies in total. We hope that by submitting
our results, experts can work out trends in
species and help conservationists protect
butterflies from extinction, as well as predict
variations in climate change,” she added.
