A3 home photo printer
Epson has added an A3 printing
model to its Expression Premium
range of all-in-ones for printing
high quality photos and two-sided
documents.
Joining the newly updated XP-640
and XP-645, the XP-900 offers A3
printing (but A4 scan and copy) in a
footprint similar to that of an A4 device.
Epson’s Expression Premium range
enables users to produce better-than-
lab-quality photographs at home and
on demand. The all-in-ones have five
individually replaceable Claria Premium
Inks that produce deep blacks and rich,
vibrant colours.
In addition to WiFi connectivity, the
printers offer Wi-Fi Direct printing and a
choice of apps for printing from/scanning
to a smartphone or tablet in the home or
remotely using Epson Email Print.
Other useful features include a
memory card slot for PC-less printing;
CD/DVD printing; and a speciality media
feed for thicker paper up to A3.
KYOCERA Document Solutions has launched
10 new TASKalfa A3 MFPs, five colour and
five monochrome, designed to reduce
money wasted on wasteful procedures.
Nigel Allen, Marketing Director at KYOCERA
Document Solutions UK, said: “When it comes to
document management, money is wasted in several
areas: printing is outsourced due to the limited
capabilities of in-house printers and MFPs; toner supply
is haphazard and inefficient due to not being managed
properly; and many separate single-function devices
are used inefficiently due to document workflows not
having been optimised.”
The new devices come with a range of features and
options designed to address these inefficiencies.
For example, to reduce the need to outsource print
jobs, four of the five new colour MFPs have an optional
Fiery print controller, as well as the ability to print on
special paper sizes such as SRA3, banner paper, tab
divider sheets and paper up to 300gsm.
To improve consumables management, the new
TASKalfa 6052ci and 6002i series feature a toner lock
that prevents users from exchanging toners before it is
time to do so. Using the fleet management and service
tool KYOCERA Fleet Services, the required amount of
toner is delivered when and where needed, without
customers needing to call a service provider.
The TASKalfa 2552ci/3252ci/4052ci/5052ci/6052ci
and TASKalfa 3011i/3511i/4002i/5002i/6002i have
print speeds from 25 to 60ppm, 1200 x 1200 dpi
output at full engine speed and improved colour print
quality thanks to a newly developed toner with a
wider colour gamut.
