ZenOffice re-signs with Spicers
ZenOffice has signed an extended contract commitment with
Spicers for the next three years.
The two companies already have a trading relationship of almost 25
years, reflecting the Greater Manchester-based dealer's belief that continuity
helps deliver the highest standards of service and customer support.
ZenOffice Group Commercial Director Bruce Davie said: “We are strong
believers in having the lowest cost to serve (CTS) at the maximum level of
service to our customers, so streamlined logistics is very important. Many
dealers still cherry pick between wholesalers, but we believe any individual
product cost saving is lost through higher CTS in more complicated order
fulfilment. With Spicers’ RDC located close by, as our chosen partners they
help us deliver this goal for our business.”
Spicers recently invested in a new semi-automated picking line and
track at its Manchester facility to further improve quality of delivery and
productivity.
Top award for Toshiba
TEC master’s degree
Toshiba TEC’s MSc in Professional Practice
in Leading Sales Transformation has been
named Best Sales Programme at the
Training
Journal Awards 2015
. The awards recognise
excellence in organisational learning and
development.
The judges were impressed by how the master's
programme launched in 2014 helps individuals from
Toshiba's dealer channel improve sales strategies,
connect better with customers, build strong brands,
shape their offerings and create long-term growth.
In light of evidence that participating channel
partners grow twice as fast as those who aren't
involved, Toshiba is bringing out a new sales
development programme that aims to have a
similarly transformative
effect on sales people.

touring Britain again in 2016. Six events
held at sports venues in February and
March will highlight how organisations can
optimise their document infrastructure,

mobile working and the cloud.
There will also be Q&A sessions with sports
stars who can explain how multiple marginal
gains can lead to a massive overall increase in
performance.
The 2016 roadshow starts at Arsenal’s Emirates
Stadium on February 10 and finishes at Headingley
Stadium in Leeds on March 17.

Apogee, Official Print Partner to the 2016 Virgin
Money London Marathon, has chosen ‘Make Some
Noise’ as its nominated charity for 2016. Set up by
the Global media and entertainment group, Make
Some Noise supports specially selected projects
that deliver life-changing work to youngsters and
their families. Apogee Group Marketing Director
Gary Downey said: “What caught our attention
was how the ‘Make Some Noise’ charity really
does change people’s lives because it focuses on
helping what are often small charitable projects or
individuals, operating on a shoestring or tackling
an issue that is little understood.”
UTAX has opened a London Showroom and
Training Centre at Number One, Olympic Way,
Wembley. This is the third regional showroom
opened by UTAX, to go with existing facilities
in Swindon and Manchester.
Managing Director Shaun Wilkinson said: “The
new showroom will provide a convenient location
for new and existing partners located in and around
the Capital to come and demonstrate our range
of hardware and software to
prospective customers.”
He added: “As the number of dealers and IT
VARs who join us year-on-year increases, we need
further facilities to train both sales and technical
staff. We see our new London base becoming a
Capital hub of support that we provide all our
partners.”
The opening of the Wembley Technology Suite
has been welcomed by existing and prospective
partners.
Simon Riley, Sales Director of Direct-Tec UK Ltd,
said: "The new facility will enable us to present
the UTAX product range to our customers based in
London and the Home Counties. I’m sure it will also
help increase exposure of the UTAX brand and help
them continue their impressive growth of the last
few years."
Capture Imaging
upgrades servicing
capability
Capture Imaging, a provider of document
and print management solutions in North
East Scotland, is streamlining the scheduling
and control of its field service engineers
with the 2serv service management
application from Purpose Software.
By upgrading to 2Serv, from its existing CBS
system – also supplied by Purpose Software –
Capture Imaging hopes to be able to handle
more service calls and deploy manpower
resources more effectively.
With the 2roam app installed on their
smartphones and tablets engineers can access
and update the system remotely.
The 2serv system provides rapid access to
information relating to customers, contracts,
installed devices and servicing; it improves
the control of parts and consumables in the
warehouse, at customer sites and in engineers'
vehicles; and it generates purchase orders
automatically to maintain optimum stock levels
and eliminate the incidence of double ordering.
Colin Yule, a Director at Capture Imaging,
said: “Purpose Software’s service management
software solutions have made a significant
impact to the growth of our business by helping
us to streamline workflow processes and provide
even better customer service without requiring
additional manpower resources.”
