Posiflex Technology has boosted its POS
printer series with the launch of the AURA-
7600. Its specifically designed square shape
and front-loading mechanism enables it to
operate in exceptionally small spaces for
retail, convenience store, food service and
various kiosk applications where space is at
a premium.
Despite its small size, the new 3” thermal
printer delivers superior performance with high
resolution printing and a speed up to 200mm
per second. Extremely reliable with a robust and
durable build, the AURA-7600 includes full auto-
cutting capability, easy paper roll replacement
and front paper loading / paper out for flexible
positioning. The printer supports 80mm thermal
sensitive paper roll with the option of a 58 mm
thermal sensitive paper roll adaptor.
Owen Chen, President and CEO at Posiflex
Technology, Inc said: “In today’s competitive
commercial environment, extra counter space
equals more revenue and there is an increasing
demand for smaller, more versatile printers.”
Tech Data has been appointed as
leading distributor for the new Polaroid
ModelSmart 250S 3D printer and
consumables range in the UK and will be
looking to sign partners for a multi-tiered
partner programme, which will offer a
sliding scale of discounts.
The Polaroid ModelSmart 250S 3D printer is
being brought to market through a three-year
partnership between Polaroid and UK-based
manufacturer, Environmental Business Products
(EBP). During this time, EBP will be the sole
manufacturer of the Polaroid 3D printer and
consumables range.
Polaroid is making 3D printing available,
affordable and desirable for everyone with this
ground-breaking product. The ModelSmart 250S
has been designed specifically for the consumer
market, with clean looks and designs that will fit
in with the décor in any household, classroom or
office.
It comes with the unique Polaroid Prep
software which makes printing 3D objects almost
as easy as printing traditional text documents,
opening up the world of 3D printing to the
consumer for the first time. Users can
import their own creations or any model from the
many web sites with free 3D objects, scale and
easily print, with full visibility of estimated time
and filament usage.
Peter Lunn, Senior Category Manager for Print
at Tech Data said: “Polaroid is an iconic brand
name and as well as being easy to set-up and use,
the new Polaroid ModelSmart 250S is what the
market has been waiting for. It will be perfect for
schools looking to acquire a usable and affordable
3D device and the growing number of home
imaging enthusiasts. This is a fast-growing sector
with huge potential.”
The printer will retail for around £1,500, which
includes a filament cartridge, Z-Axis sheets and
free models.
The proprietary Helpful Printer Driver software
provides a convenient consumables re-ordering
opportunity, helping resellers to maximise
potential.
The Polaroid ModelSmart 250S has a large
print area of 250(w) x 150(h) x 150(d) mm and
features accurate auto-calibration and a vertical
resolution (layer height) that can be set to
between 50 and 350 microns.
It also has a Wi-Fi-enabled camera built-in to
enable remote monitoring of prints
and is very easy to set-up and
use, including only 12 advanced
settings.
A smartchip mechanism
on filament cartridge identifies
filament levels and ensures
the correct material is used.
Revolutionary and transparent
double-sided adhesive Z-Axis
sheets are applied to the print
bed before each print for
effortless application, adhesion
and model removal.
to grow their business through the
implementation of value added services.
Post-installation and as part of an ongoing
customer service and consultation, the
new imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform
will provide more ways than ever before to
develop new revenue streams built around
the optimisation of customers’ end-to-end
processes and address their total cost of
print and document management.
“Unlike previous series, the new shared
platform enables us to offer new technology
for the devices without relying on a
hardware launch,”Woodstock explained.
“Once the device is up and running,
partners will be able to increase their sales
through any new functionality Canon brings
to market, via the shared platform.
“Further revenue opportunities can
be made through user education and
training on these updates. Increasing MPS
requirements also allow for partners to
offer additional solutions, for example ULM
can be used for a smaller installation and
in time, if the customer’s needs increase,
further solutions can be offered, such as
uniFLOW,” he added.
With the new shared platform, the
latest functionality will be available on
all new compatible products, leaving no
portfolio specification gaps. As a result,
the technology sold today will only grow
in value and adapt to key trends in the
market, such as the increasing importance
of provisioning solutions that support
mobile working. This additional value
makes it much easier to meet and exceed
customer requirements, maximising return
on investment.
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500
series will be available in the UK from the
September.
