With the 2014 FAWomen’s Super League season not yet
underway, BristolAcademyWomen’s Football Club has
already achieved significant success off thefield, after
scoring a new sponsorshipdeal with 1st Office Equipment,
one of the South-West’s largest independent printing
services providers.
1st Office has renewed its support of the club,which ended last
season as runner-up in theWomen’s Super League.The teamwill
be kitted out with branded shirts and therewill be a number of

Gifford Stadium, the club’s home ground.

Artec 3D has launched a new professional
version of its Shapify.Me 3D selfie kit that will
enable entrepreneurs to producemodels of
customers at a scale of 1:20, 1:15 or 1:12.
It hopes the launch of Shapify.Prowill help
create a network of Shapify scanning points
where people can capture their likenesses in
3D using aMicrosoft Kinect sensor array. Scans
uploaded to the Shapifywebsite are 3D printed
inmonochrome or coloured plastic,with figurines
delivered to the customer within five days.
The Shapify.Pro kit enables resellers to start
offering 3D selfies as a service. It costs $999 but
comeswith a $999 printing credit; two larger
figurine sizes (compared to standard Shapify.Me
kits); and special rates of $40 for a small printed
figurine (1:20), $80 for amedium figurine (1:15)
and $140 for a large printedmodel (1:12).
At suggested retail prices of $79, $129 and
$199 respectively,ArtecGroup says that it won’t
take long for 3D selfie businesses to become
profitable.
All Shapify.Pro kits include an account at
Shapify.Pro, a Shapify-branded backpack and
jacket, a scanning pad so customers know
where to standwhen being scanned, and further
discounts for 3D printing figurines at Shapify
partner print shops.
